KairosWWT | Women Working Together

We’re recruiting…

Could you lead Kairos into 2018 and beyond? We are looking for an inspirational woman to guide us through a period of transition to a mixed funding model and long-term financial stability.

Director: 16 hours per week –  Salary: £39,177.00 to £46,645.00 pro rata

6 month contract with possible extension subject to funding and performance.

Here at Kairos WWT, we believe in the value and dignity of each and every woman. We are a small charity, but we make a big difference to the lives of some of the most vulnerable and hard to reach women in Coventry. Our aim is to increase the life-chances and choices of women caught up in prostitution, and of those affected by or at risk of sexual exploitation.

Following a recent organisational review, we are recruiting for the new role of Director, which has been created to take the helm of Kairos WWT and take full ownership of its strategic direction. We are looking for a strong female leader, who can take up this challenge.

Responsible for the Business Development Manager and Operations Manager, together you will lead the service and inspire confidence in our dedicated staff team and volunteers. You will be a forward-looking yet grounded individual, capable of inspiring and motivating others with your vision for long-term success. Supporting the Board of Trustees, you will manage the transition to long-term planning so that we can be there for women in need in Coventry when they are ready to reach out to us.

As an excellent communicator, you will be able to engage a wide range of partners and develop relationships with commissioners, funders and stakeholders to positive effect. Supporting and empowering people is an intuitive skill for you and you take a coaching style in managing people through change.

Initially for 6 months, the primary aim of this role is to map out the long-term future for the organisation through a step-change to a mixed funding model. Business acumen and financial planning skills are essential, as is the ability to work under pressure and remain supportive and focused.

Due to our funding timescales and staff transitions, this role needs to commence as soon as possible and is subject to a contract extension and incremental salary increase on successful completion of an agreed work plan.
